The Belfry foam structure was introduced to collectors with the release of the Lexington Green Playset in 2013.  Another popular design from the Barzso collection.

Belfries in New England held significant social, and political importance, particularly during the time of the American Revolutionary War.

The famous midnight ride of Paul Revere on April 18, 1775, involved the use of church bells to warn of British advances. The bells rang out to alert the militia and residents, rallying them to prepare for action.

 

Old North Church: Located in Boston, it became famous for its role in the American Revolution. Its belfry housed the lanterns that signaled the British were coming by land or sea.
