Buckman’s Tavern, located in Lexington, Massachusetts, is a historic site with deep roots in American Revolutionary history. Here’s an overview of its significance and features:

Built in 1710, Buckman’s Tavern served as a meeting place for local militia and patriots during the lead-up to the American Revolution.  On April 19, 1775, the tavern was a gathering point for the Lexington militia as they prepared to confront British troops.

This confrontation marked one of the first battles of the Revolutionary War.

Buckman’s Tavern stands as a symbol of the fight for American independence, representing the spirit of community and resistance against British rule.
